Press Release

Local volunteer honoured

Honouring the commitment and dedication of snowmobile trail volunteers within the Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association for the 2005 – 2006 season, Paul Marcon (right) of the world-renowned “Rock’n’Roll Snow Patrol” (Partners:  Q92, White Gold Car Wash, Trailers-R-Us, Rogers Wireless, Ski Doo, Algonquin Equipment, Auto Trader) and WOODY’S Traction Products along with Dennis Lendrum (left) of the Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association present this year’s recipient, Tim Burk (center) of Burk’s Shell in Massey, with a certificate for a full set of quality WOODY’S studs and carbide runners.

Continuously promoting safety on the trails, the “Rock’n’Roll Snow Patrol” rides annually with WOODY’S products.  Paul Marcon states, “I would never feel comfortable nor safe riding any snowmobile without superior traction.  It is anticipated that this well-earned gift will add another safe snowmobiler to our trails.  I am quite pleased of the fact that WOODY’S, through Auto Trader, provides us with these great products.  I have put over 60,000 trail miles on WOODY’S carbide studs and runners.  This is a fact that I am quite proud of!

For this past season, both Dennis Lendrum and I decided that a great way to reward and honour our trail volunteers, those people who build and maintain our world-class trails, would be to present a deserving someone with this important gift.  Tim’s name was drawn from a pool of valued volunteers.  This is a promotion that we hope can grow within other club organizations over the next few years.”
